HOT ROCK STEAM SAUNA

What is a hot rock steam sauna?

It is a traditional sauna that creates a luxurious, moist heat by tossing water onto hot rocks. Steam sauna is used by multiple cultures, dating back as early as 3,000 years ago to Mayan sweat houses.

DIGESTIVE ISSUES: Steam sauna has been shown to improve digestion and reduce gastrointestinal inflammation.

FULL SPECTRUM INFRARED SAUNA

What is full spectrum, infrared sauna therapy?

Full spectrum infrared incorporates near, mid, and far infrared waves. Infrared waves penetrate our tissues up to a depth of 2 inches, boosting healing and regenerating the body. We can harness the penetrating waves in an infrared sauna, which puts out invisible light that our body absorbs as heat. This raises our core body temperature and produces amazing health benefits.

How can this therapy optimize your health?

SKIN CONDITIONS: Near infrared wavelengths mostly penetrate the epidermis layer of the skin. This makes it a very safe choice for the improvement of cell health, the renewal of skin, tissue growth and wound healing by shortening healing times.

POOR CIRCULATION: Mid infrared wavelengths penetrate deeper into the body and are good for increasing circulation and blood flow. When blood flow is increased, the additional oxygenation assists the body in repairing cells and tissues.

JAPANESE-STYLE HOT SOAK TUB

What is a Japanese-style, hot soak tub?

Our barrel-style hot soaking tub that we keep at 102-103° Fahrenheit. The jets are on a constant low cycle so you have gentle, soothing movement of the water that is serene and calming. Our tub is 44 inches deep and 12 feet wide. This allows you to immerse yourself in complete relaxation.

How can this therapy optimize your health?

BRAIN AND MOOD SUPPORT: Soaking in hot water has been shown to increase serotonin levels and induce relaxation and reduction of stress and stress chemicals in the body.

MUSCLE PAIN, TIGHTNESS AND SPASM: Soaking in hot water relaxes our muscles. Not only skeletal muscles, but also our smooth muscle. Smooth muscles are found in the arteries, lung tissues, intestine, bladder, uterus, to name a few places. So hot soaking can also reduce blood pressure, intestinal cramps, bladder spasms, asthma symptoms and menstrual cramping.

COLD PLUNGE POOL

What is a cold plunge pool?

Cold plunge is an amazing treatment which we have added to our sauna therapy to harness the power of contrast hydrotherapy. Contrast hydrotherapy, which is alternating hot and cold, allows us to direct and effect the body’s circulatory system. The heat causes the blood vessels in the outer layers of your tissues to dilate, releasing heat, while cold therapy causes those same superficial vessels to constrict and the deeper vessels to open up, driving blood flow to our vital organs and our core.

How can this therapy optimize your health?

IMMUNE STIMULATION: A plunge in the cold pool enhances your body’s ability to fight infection. It does this by boosting antioxidant production and good cytokines.

BRAIN HEALTH: Current research is underway in the UK that is looking at a protein that is found in cold water swimmers that protects the brain from degenerative diseases like dementia.

ANEMIA: Cold plunge increases the production of hemoglobin and the oxygen carrying capacity of the blood.

DEPRESSION: Cold plunge has been shown to increase the production of endorphins, which are happy brain chemicals. Recent case studies have shown that swimming in cold water just once a week decreased dependence on medications for depression.

SKIN HEALTH AND INJURIES: Cold plunge increases circulation and collagen production which improves skin health and appearance and speeds healing from injuries and surgery.
